I would somewhat agree with that statement but it was still a sequel in the series and I think it executed things well enough to warrant a high regard.

ER is supposed to be new but looks very similar, and the jury is still out if the game will be good. Saying it will be better than DS1 (arguably one of the greatest games ever made) or Bloodborne is pretty high praise in advance of release.

Yea I’ll admit that’s my hype talking, but what we’ve seen looks really promising. DS3 is decent btw but yea blood borne and DS1 are unmatched

I hope you enjoy it!! To me it just feels like they are just taking design elements from many successful open world games then slapping them into DS and calling it a new franchise. I may be proven wrong but I think there are a lot of people out there that feel the same.

If bosses and lore are still top tier the game will be great regardless but those are really hard to execute game after game as we have see From struggle with already
