I am seeing this getting praise/reviews of this being her best record yet
It's true.
Does anyone think Erica is subtly insane? I believe she has the best pen of anyone besides Lana, and her lyrics are incredible. On lifetime, she’s talks about having a liscense to kill and her body being a weapon that she can't control. It subtly feels like a black widow's manifesto.
Literally thought about this album in my sleep
When the lights out
Do you still see me?
where would u say she needs most improvement as an artist?
peeped i never replied to this but
i think it's just one of those things that come with being an artist that has very specific reference points, especially from sounds and eras that are so beloved
she's always had competent production, nice melodies and songwriting...mostly it would be her vocals and presence on the tracks where things would lack for me.
but i think she really nailed it this time. every aspect of her artistry amped up and fine-tuned. brilliant stuff.

one can only hope
that beauty lies ahead
and to see it without judgement or fear
and when it all goes wrong
i hope i have the courage
i hope i have it inside of me.
