Hip hop being a “young mans sport” as they call is what’s f***ed the rap industry and the hood more than you can think. Kids leading kids down the wrong path through talking about death and destruction with the promise of a lifestyle they thinks never ends, the glitz and glamour but its all smoke and mirrors.

They all grow up once the moneys gone and they got robbed by the label cause they were too high all the time to realize that they did it all wrong and they admit it too, but too late after a lot of kids already followed in their footsteps and the label wins now a revolving door of young morons with clout who do anything for attention and to be like someone they saw growing up.

The industry biggest fear is kanye/travis level artists coming in on their own accord already knowing how to achieve that level of quality on their own but also mature enough to know the game and maneuver the industry independently and hold their own next to pro signed industry acts. Literally like what jay z did. Came in with the quality as a grown man independently and took over behind the scenes like a boss. The industry already hanging by a thread they can’t handle something like that right now, only superficial female popstars keeping them and their award shows alive.

This is what keeps people looking at hip hop as some immature thing to downplay and not celebrate artists once they turn older like they do their rockstars like metallica or grateful dead. Rappers all get bunched together on some pity washed up old timers tour like they’re needy for money and it looks pathetic.
