The kind of Radiohead fan who still feels the need to performatively act like Pablo Honey is the worst thing ever is embarrassing. Still encountering these types online is shocking.

I can at least respect that. I don’t go back to it often. It’s funny that when that record came out Yorke was shifting on Suede’s debut as an embarrassing representation of modern “guitar music”, but it’s easily better than what they themselves put out the same year. At the same time though—I just don’t think there’s anything uniquely worse about Pablo Honey to separate it from the other Britpop and alt-rock of the time.

It's just a weird online elitist nerd thing. Most Radiohead fans I've met irl are super chill.

Tool fans on the other hand are almost always annoying online and off

My friend told me a story about a conversation at work he had the other day. He was talking to a guy about the Kanye jeen-yuhs documentary and were discussing how early Ye was probably the best hip hop artist at the time. Another guy, unprovoked, apparently interrupted them; "NO. EMINEM IS THE BEST RAPPER." And every time they tried to have an actual discussion about it he just kept interrupting them

Technically Creep is probably the more ubiquitous song but Karma Police seemed "bigger" to me. Alot of bands have a Creep but very few have a Karma Police.
