I’ve never quite got the hate some people have for Billie Eilish’s music. I’ve seen people react to her as if she’s a symbol of something wrong with mainstream pop, but she seems totally disconnected from the trends in the industry. I saw her Oscar performance and it was very beautiful, but then I noticed responses to it acting as if it’s just vapid airy nothingness.

She's not for me but I think she seems pretty cool

I actually fux wid it. not bad at all. But everytime I hear Pachelbel's Canon in D sampled in a song I just think of this song sampling it lol

It’s such beautiful piece of music. It’s a shame that this is the main association people have for it. Angel Olsen’s All The Flowers is a top 5 song of the decade for me so far and I think it interpolates a bit of that as well, but the emotions of it are put to much better use.

She's obviously a talented singer but I get nothing out of her music. I have no reason to hate her though.

I’ve just been going through lists of stuff The Lemon Twigs recommend and they’re mostly a lot of 60’s and 70’s gems. These two were among them. The Elvis song Old Shep was a new discovery from that. The man’s almost crying at one point singing that.

You haven't listened to Elvis' second album from '56? possibly the best rock and roll album of the 50s that wasn't just a collection of singles but actual album that was thoughtfully composed and arranged with tasteful presentation and an excellent essay in the liner notes.

Yeah it’s one of those records I never thought to listen to in full. Figured it was kind of just a singles thing.

His debut is but Elvis has the high effort presentation and clean production of like a classy Sinatra album or something compared to the rest of the rock and roll albums slapped together back then. You've heard First In Line right?

I must have, but I forgot about it. It’s intensely gorgeous. He sounds almost like Ricky Nelson at times on it.

Back in high school Don't Bring Me Down was one of the few non rap songs we'd crank and have big singalongs to
