lmaooooo this post so off but maybe you were messing around lol. don't actually like BTS and you're almost 20 years off from when they started. I do like American Football but not outside of their eponymous album.

My favorite 90s bands are MBV, Unwound, Swans, also Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds imo were producing a lot of their best stuff in the 90s. If AIC released more music in the 90s they could be up there.

It would be much easier to get at my music taste if I could list solo artists from the 90s.

I've gotten into 5+ bar fights and I can tell you it doesn't make you a badass. Actually nowadays at 28 I just feel shame over most of them. (some of them were very warranted tho or just self defense)

It definitely doesn't make you a badass but it shows you're not a pushover either. It basically impossible to hit the scene on a regular basis without some s*** popping off eventually if you gotta perform at little clubs and s*** I can imagine it getting rowdy

Nope it's embarrassing and a bad look for sure, but s*** does pop off for absolutely no reason and sometimes you get put in a position where it's throw down or get stomped.

I told you guys about one of the last times I was out how some drunk idiot smashed into me and this chick friend of mine on the dance floor and after I asked him politely not to do it again him and his boy (both much bigger than me) were ready to jump my ass there and then so I had to lay one out immediately with a huge elbow to the nose so I could handle the other one before security got involved. S*** happens.

The first bar fight I ever got into was because my best friend's girlfriend (who is like 4'11 90 pounds) got elbowed in the face by some guy after he ran up to me and put his hands around my neck (all for screaming '"Fuck Duke!" when Syracuse was playing Duke...) I guess I looked in his direction and he thought I was screaming it at him. Didn't even know the guy existed until he approached me and tried to choke me lol.

My best friend just stood there looking scared as his girlfriend's entire face was bleeding, which is not a good look, but he's always been the p**** of our group.

Maybe this sounds old fashioned but I think at the end of the day as a guy you want to be someone who has a little bit of violence in you, but learn how to control it in 99.9% of situations.

I thought he was making a joke from our little spat yesterday or maybe he actually thought BTS (who were all born in the 90s/2000s) was actually a band back then, which would have been even more hilarious.

Maybe this sounds old fashioned but I think at the end of the day as a guy you want to be someone who has a little bit of violence in you, but learn how to control it in 99.9% of situations.

This reminds me of the time (at least 15 years ago) a friend and her buddies were hanging out at a convenience store after all the bars closed and they were getting harassed by this big scary older goon from out of town, covered in tattoos and throwing glass bottles at them and s***. That's when I showed up with one of my younger dumber buddies who tried to intervene and got punched so hard his face kinda caved in and he required reconstructive surgery (not the only story I have with this idiot involving near death and surgery) so I grabbed a skateboard from who knows where and tricked the dude probably half a dozen times while bobbing and weaving his devastating blows lol. He literally wouldn't go down no matter how hard I hit him but he was dazed enough to f*** off a bit till the cops showed up. It was a big scene with like dozens of people watching, and I was like 110 pounds at the time lol.

I didn't even really know the girls yet but our dads were friends and her dad wouldn't shut up for years about that time I saved the day lol

Had a friend that completely ditched all of us when a fight broke out at a bar. Eventually his girlfriend grabbed my hand while I was arguing with some dude and was like "Jack LET'S GO. The whole bar is gonna jump you." and we hauled ass outta there. Felt like a movie haha.

They broke up not long after

Nah every 8 deserves to be listened to (even though I'm personally not particularly fond of Maintes Fois. That one's a bit boring and clicheed tbh). Like Toby Driver, dreamcrusher, Endon, To live and Shave in LA, the Books, Sadaf, F***ed Up, Pragmatic Quartet etc.. Sure, He has developed that noise affinity but the music is far from unlistenable imo. He has always praised albums like this. I just like him praising albums that attempt to broaden the musical language.

I said last decade, f***ed up and Julia the exceptions as masterpieces
