rewatching all these Godzilla movies makes me realize that it is actually quite the quality franchise considering how many films are in there. Not every plot makes sense but i really don't think many criticism really apply. Always used to think the original is untouchable but at least Destoroyah edges it out for me (maybe personal reasons but i'm not sure). Would have to rewatch the og tho.

In this particular instance he was about 100 pounds heavier than me, and it was broken up pretty fast by the bouncers. Punches were thrown/landed but no one got seriously hurt. Also it's not like he meant to elbow her (I don't think).

And that's a wild story lol. I mean I guess you did the right thing if he was actually throwing bottles at them. Luckily I've (somehow) never been in a situation where I saw a girl getting harassed like that. The worst fight I got into was in Montreal when some French p**** called me a after I accidently bumped into him (after I said sorry..) That time I was really drunk and just turned around and swung my arm/fist into his face as hard as I possibly could. Too drunk to remember what I did to him though. I do want to stress that I'm not a naturally violent person lol. These days I try to avoid all of those things because you feel like s*** after it happens.

The only thing I could think of these days where I might actually murder someone is if someone ever physically touched my mom.

I was also kind of a p**** until I turned around 18. And then when I moved to NYC I got hardened a ton. Best city in the world but it kinda erodes the soul in some ways.

yeah the ending is fantastic

did you know Japan was working on its own atom bomb during WW2? if they could've nuked America first they would have and probably wouldve nuked China and Russia as well if they somehow managed to produce enough fissal material (which they never could've but still)

I was talking to this old mainland Chinese guy at work last year who had just gotten back from doing a big WW2 nerd history tour of Europe, went to Normandy and a bunch of notable places stupidly didn't realize people the far east would be into that but I asked him what he thought of Oppenheimer and he was like "thats a f***ing hero "

Yeah ironically it probably saved alot of Japanese and American lives by dropping the bombs and forcing surrender over a prolonged invasion, since the Japanese were ready to fight till the last man was dead. But really Truman just wanted send a message to Russia, who definitely would not have stopped their invasion of Europe in Germany otherwise.

I’m just hoping their approach was “let’s make this show how we think it would’ve been had it been made in 1997” and they didn’t inject too many modern sensibilities. X-Men is my second favorite capeshit cartoon after Batman: The Animated Series.
