I stand by this. If Lupe just straight up didn't release T&Y it would be closer but that project is a whole level above Kendrick's best stuff and the rest of Lupe's stuff imo

On another note I haven't really been able to get into the new Holter... singing about it is putting me off. Maybe not in the mood for her lately
it's one of her more optimistic records. I have my issues here and there as well (in particular with These Mornings and the title track. Hence I listen to them so often). I think of it as a more serene record than before. finding big discoveries in appearingly mundane situations. When I listen to the title track I think of her being locked in her room (read one interview where she said that) and found something enchanting. Might sound a bit naive but I get what she's saying.
