Ok added the first 4. That's alot to add at once lol. How do you have time to listen to so much s***? I might've asked already but are you able to listen to stuff at work? That's 37ish hours a week i can't listen to stuff, plus the days where I just need peace and quiet. Feel like you listen to 3-4x as much as me a week, if not much more. I have trouble taking stuff in too quickly

yeah i mostly work from home and i can listen the whole time. also living alone and can have speakers going almost all day

recently its about 9-10 hours per day of listening time

9-10 bruh I'm lucky to get 4 on a good day. 2-3 average

even if i could do 9-10 a day, i'd probably get tired and overwhelmed. After a certain threshold of music a day, I lose focus. And I get tired and mentally exhausted pretty much every day and need a quiet nap

i respect the grind, though. that is a lot of music every day lol

I guess I’ve never really understood personally what’s difficult about connecting with the more “horror” oriented stuff in rap considering I’ve always been a fan of really f***ed up exploitation movies. It would be weird to go from watching Ilsa Shewolf of The SS to then being like “I can’t with these crazy hip-hop lyrics.” Obviously film and music hit different wavelengths for people, but still. Like I’ve never been a big metal guy, but the stuff I do connect with is really ominous, dark, and sometimes gets into pretty shocking subject matter. A lot of art I love either attempts to be a beautiful reaffirmation of life and all the good things in it or on the other hand—a cathartic but equally unsettling confrontation with death. With something like Kim, I don’t even really slot that in with the other more overtly horrorcore stuff. There’s a different mindset and approach to it. It’s more like a desperate cry for help. Just watching a person eating up inside with sadness, jealousy, and hatred—while letting it all fall out of them in a chaotic matter. It’s more emotionally honest than “Kill You” or whatever.

Funny you say more emotionally honest than Kill You cause there the opening of that song is one of the lyrics I've related to more than any in my life lol.

Don't think anybody is saying it isn't clever (maybe genius) but I think you're just missing the obvious fact that Kim is a gargantuan slab of slow depressing downer times, especially if you grew up with parents that fought constantly (felt bad typing that cause I know you lost your pops when you were young).

Kill You is a relative hilarious bop with Eminem being shocking for shockings sake but with his elite sense of humor still intact.
