nah only seen maybe ten including a bunch of dust from the 50s-60s Satyajit Ray etc

break your chrono rule and watch Sholay if only for the sake of the soundtrack for '75..

idk how strictly you operate with your movie thread chrono though

I already watched a bunch of blaxpotation when we were going through the early 70s queued up Rocky Horror Picture Show finally as well. Like to sync up music related movies with the thread.

1942 way too distant to affect my thoughts on a anything from the 60s on. Same with any music from the 90s on.

  • The random sound effects and scratching in the right ear during "Ghost Deini" is SC really an all time classic

Science Fiction is a great glam song, but I’d probably never listen to any other tracks from it outside the context of the film.

Its finny how people can spend years writing intricate lyrics and then malkmus can say "i have to get the f*** outta this town" on a song he didnt even write and itll hit harder than anything ever made

I saw the springsteen biopic at a premier at nyff at lincoln center on sunday

let me tell you the only single piece of inspiration i found in this masturbatory 100 million dollar (jeremy allen white doesnt even look like young bruce) PR masquerading as art piece of s*** was when he was listening to frankie teardrop in his whip (in the movie) for like 3 seconds to signfify his "difficult" phase and i just yelled out FRANKIES GONNA KILL HIS KIDS YEUGH and people in the cinema shushed me

And then i said FRANKIE FRANKIE

Because martin rev has more artistic integritiy in the tip of his pinky toe than this entire artistic enterprise which is essentially a way for a man worth hundreds of millions of dollars to enrich himself and his rich friends even more so

And i like the bruce music so my point is more to do with these even exisiting, i wouldnt be a fan if my favorite artist ever did it

suicide they were a good band, its cool that some random wine mom is gonna hear 4 seconds of frankie teardrop this weekend i guess

it's still a musical at it's core tbh. plenty of great moments

my favorite portion might be the finale
