Definitely,FF/Square Enix has been working towards 16 since PS3 days really. I played 15 and for what I played,it felt like the games vision was stunted in a way. 16 feels like a 0 compromise vision,their really going for it this time.

There’s one companion that is around more than the others so I don’t think we get a new one per area.

Regardless we can’t take control of them, can’t equip them with gear or change their skills, can’t give them commands. They are just there minimally contributing to fights. And we have the dog that we can give 3 basic commands using the d-pad.
