Devs are so lazy when it comes to utilizing the pro
not even a 60 fps update
Square not wasting time on small number of players that haven’t gotten it already . It’s 20$ on ps5 and 27$ with all dlc now . Maybe at launch

Bro that doesnt make much sense relatively lol
there are tons of old games getting performance updates that wont move the needle either way in terms of sales

Making a performance update takes work and the game already runs well

…people not understand why se wouldn’t want to invest more money into a flop
I still love it tho
This is solidly in the category of 12 where will be seen as a hidden gem of the series in 7 years

I don’t know feels like being exclusive for as long as it was didn’t serve them or Sony should have paid more for the exclusivity . Why would they make a pro mode for a 3 year old game vs focus on revelation , kingdom hearts and other games . It’s not even like they are dropping more dlc and the game runs well on base ps5 and automatically upscales some on pro . Pro people be half there

It was a great game . Needed better side quest and combat / party system updates if a sequel but a good game that got hated

The updates after the fact made it a good game, it wasnt at launch.
Downloaded it from my ps plus subscription. Can't tell when I will get to it tho
Never played a Final Fantasy before. Definitely getting this and VII Remake off Plus, probably won't play this year tho

it needed to be a JRPG
-mid exploration
-mid customization
-straight up vertical weapon progression where each new weapon is just a no brain upgrade because there are only damage/stagger values and they both increase with each new weapon
-is this the only FF ever where elements are strictly visual? no elemental weaknesses, no affinities, no status effects
-side quests weren't great
-combat prioritizes surface level flashiness over interesting tech and combos. like a grossly watered down DMC
-one playable character
I can go on and on. Such a disappointment for long time FF fans. It was hardly a FF game, even less of a JRPG. Thankfully FF7Rebirth restored the feeling not long after.
I feel like the war premise is great and the fact that there are individuals with these titans inside them that are used as war pawns and WMDs essentially
The issue is, the game is waaaaay to linear / doesn’t really explore the war aspect in depth.

I think a lot of that could have been improved for sequel .deeper weapon customization. Party customization with multiple playable party members . Exploration and random task to do . I don’t think it was terrible though
every side quest builds those characters till the end of the game and they all pay off in a grand final fantasy way

Don’t forget how useless & forgettable Jill was ☝️
