Can someone in spoilers just explain why everyone’s being a baby about the ending?

Ending on some Kingdom Hearts s\*\*\*, completely different from how the original ended and introduced time travel and multiple timeslines

I mean you’d think that would please people so they can choose their own canon.

Gonna try to find this at Walmart TN. Sold out everywhere else for me. Not messin with GS.

Really? I mean yeah it's definitely not the easiest by any means, but there's a handful of bosses that made it look like a cakewalk in retrospect imo

I got stuck on a lot of bosses but never for so long as that one.

I mean the original is pretty much superior in a lot of ways to be honest and niggas been waiting on this s*** for years expecting a remake not a reimagining. I get what you are saying but the ending is pretty awful (story not the gameplay part) and they pretty much got rid of the whole mystique surrounding Sephiroth.

Gameplay part of the ending was 10 outta 10 tho, one of my favourite experience in gaming in a while, kinda sad that people not talking about that aspect of the ending

imo its a cop out for Square to not follow the OG or exclude parts from storyline in the future parts :kanyeshrug:

Yeah, next playthrough imma need a whole button/option to skip Chapter 8 minus the last 30 minutes of it.

Yeah agreed and I just want to say to anyone who hasn’t played the OG, it was done perfectly in the old version. They walked together just enough to have a conversation that progressed the story/love interest and then they STOPPED WALKING TOGETHER.

This padding and stretching out the content in this game is getting painfully annoying and tbh I’m starting to lose interest. My girlfriend is more excited every night to play this and she isn’t even the one playing smh.

Trying not to complain too much but I honestly don’t think any ending that you guys are considering is s***ty could be more of a drag than this extra fluff BS.

Idc what anyone says but Barrett was the heart of this game for me. At first I thought he would be my least favorite since he’s basically Mr. T, but then chapter 12 and onwards I loved him

    Osama bin Harden

That thing was the HARDEST in the game no cap.

Beating the champion of squatting was the most difficult thing for me

Yeah this is basically what I wanted ffxv to be in my perfect world

The thing 15 got right was the comraderie between friends and the feeling of being in the gang.

Thats the best part of the game, just f***ing around.

Anytime I did anything story wise after maybe chapter 5 or 6 was just me slogging through that game.

I've been hooked on this one though.

Although chapter 6 and 8 were kind of s***ty, the rest of the game has been pretty much fantastic. I havent beaten it yet but the parts that are good are very good with some complaints but nothing egregious.

It's a 9/10 for me. Almost an 8.5 for one thing tho.
Tbh the only thing that really pisses me off about the game is the wait in between clicking on a button to talk to a person and the 9 seconds it takes for them to actually talk. EVERY F***ING TIME

That's the only unforgivable sin this game has so far because there is absolutely no reason for that s*** in the year of our Lord 2020

I've seen so many people online directly comparing this game to XV and saying 7R is what XV "tried to be" or something — and I still don't get the comparison at all.

Outside of the vaguely similar combat systems (both of which are variations of mechanics from the KH and Dissidia series), similar menus, and the idea of Chapter Select replacing post-game/NG+, how are these two games actually comparable?

An absolutely amazing game,.. interested to see where they take part 2.... ending kinda threw me off tho, but I literally enjoyed everything else.

They’re not, it’s just because it’s an FF game with action combat

One thing I'm really starting to dislike now that I'm in ChpSel is how absurdly dependent the non-active characters are on the player in order to do literally anything other than their basic attack and guard.

I get that the game was designed for the player to switch between characters in battle frequently, but that's no excuse for not putting instances in the non-active AI to throw you a potion/curative item/use healing spells/esuna if they have them when the character you're controlling is about to die and might not last long enough to wait on the player to choose a command and wait for it to be executed. Even an AI using a phoenix down when someone goes down would be a godsend in some of these hard fights with relentless bosses

Yeah they was hella lazy with the AI in this game, notice how enemies just ignore your allies and only target the character you’re controlling, s*** is not cool lol

Yep lol so many boss fights have eventually come down to me aggro'ing the boss by switching between characters on a triangle formation so i can command the other two to cast/attack.

The other really lazy thing I haven't been able to get over since i started in chapter 3 where you first enter the slums is how they the literally just said "lol nah" to the entire idea of being able to walk into and loot random houses/buildings around the different towns (or even have some more "off rails" exploration like rooftops and stuff).

I know ive mentioned this like 5 times ITT already but i dead ass cannot believe it lol. I was just thinking about it again earlier smh

And what makes it sting even more is how many damn houses/buildings with doors they put in some of these places, esp S7 slums and Wall Market... What a huge tease

I also think it hurts me a bit more cause i literally stopped playing DQ11 near the end in order to download and play FF7R — and every town in that game had like at least a dozen buildings and houses you could run into and find tons of loot and special items.
