started a new thread for the new movie this December. first film was honestly a good time. nothing crazy, but hope this builds upon it.

tickets are also on sale for this as well!

seeing this next Friday. wonder if it’ll make more or less than the first. hype doesn’t feel as big as the first.

Also, I don’t like to say mean things about kids but the little girl in this is terrible.

was it worse than the first movie? as a fan of the games and the lore, I thought it was decent.

12% rating against an 89% audience score has got to be the biggest dichotomy I’ve seen on RT.

I think the first was a little better overall

But this movie does some stuff better

finally got around to watching this and forgot this was my thread lmao

I thought the first movie was pretty mediocre, however, the animatronic work was stellar and it had a decent enough plot that made it an entertaining experience. this movie on the other hand, felt very directionless and reference heavy. even with having a bigger budget, it was cheaper in ways, especially with the death scenes, which were lazily shown off camera. I did want to shout-out that the animatronics still continue to look great, but overall, this was a mess. if they decide to adapt the third game, I’m praying for either another director or a much more refined script.
