The theme for Chapter 2 season 6 is "Primal". All new and unique primal-themed weapons, Lara Croft is a Battle Pass skin with four alternative styles (one of which is the classic PS2 look), there's animals in the game that you can hunt for crafting materials and food, and apparently soccer player Neymar Jr got a skin coming soon as well.

Only played like 3 matches so far due to work and pretty much all the old weapons have been replaced with completely new ones and they feel weird tbh, gonna take a bit to get used to these primal versions of our beloved weapons. Besides that, things are looking lit. The fact that you can hunt, gather food/materials and craft to upgrade your weapons is really dope.

Took some games to get used to all the new weapons (the loot pool is probably the most unique one I can think of) but now I'm back out here smacking folks again and it feels good

Pump Shotguns are back but golly they are so rare. I have only gotten 1 Pump Shotgun in like 10-15 games.
