Those moments when Paperboi was starting to show emotion while talking to Wiley. Mans was doing his best to hold back the tears

That was really the first time we've seen Al show that type of vulnerability

kinda feels like the writers just want to make an anthology type show all set in the same world . following paperboi's rap career seems a little cumbersome atp

Yeah, they’re done with that sitcom s***.

I just want a solo Van episode as the season finale.

is the point of Atlanta to highlight racial situations that happen everyday like it's normal but in reality are actually incredibly weird?

    Twin Peaks… with rappers

i get that they're doing a twin peaks thing but it feels a little incoherent in a not so good way

my only minor criticism tho show still incredible

All the seasons been this jumbled. Narrative arc isn’t important.

Wiley and Socks were infuriating throughout the episode, man

I do like Wiley in the end though. There's definitely more to him than it seems though. He was definitely serving as some sort of reflection of things Paperboi is dealing with, and therefore at the same time not being entirely 'real'. He's a part of Paperboi, a projection even if you will. That's why he knows his phone number, that's why he knows those lyrics. That one on one scene with Paperboi was great, and the song was powerful.

I like how Atlanta leaves a lot of stuff up in the air, and just flat-out puts stuff in there that makes 0 sense (like Folk calling Wiley his 19 year old cousin he ain't seen in 15 years, but then dude saying he 32 lmaooo what, the cancer attack lmfaooo). It's used to emphasize that this world Atlanta is taking place in isn't supposed to be the logical one you're used to living in. Keep your eyes on what's happening, right now, and not on what you think you know. It's probably also why they've used such a big time skip, of like 2 years, because they're not the exact same characters now, than when you've got to know em in s1 and 2.
I'm rambling, but Atlanta really killing it
You just gotta wake up n see it

I gotta feeling that the song that Wiley sang, was the exact one Al was referencing before

My impression was that Wiley connected with paperboy so deeply off the postal mixtape that he knew Al would feel his song too.

Plus yeah, it did make me wonder if Al really dreams of going indie folk. Which would be a wild angle for the show

real world is not at all logical either, I feel like its one of a very few shows that catch that exact feeling of s*** sometimes not making sense at all when it happens to you, like you have to double-check if it's actually real. also makes the show somehow a lot more realistic too

I think its clear that Darius has very little focus on him at the moment. Earn is just here for the story too, not much is happening to him immediately, especially compared to Van or Al. im actually glad they switched focus like that, there's a lot of crew dynamic now and you have to follow everybody to get the entire picture
