I said this in the Donald Glover interviews himself thread, but Americans are lucky to have high quality shows/movies like this that provide social commentary. I'd give anything to have something like this done about Apartheid

this is why im mad at people for saying the payback episode is "just for whites"

like i understand being frustrated, but the fact that we have high level art like this that can provide social commentary in an age where people do not read books anymore is sooo important

i understand not liking it, but as a short story i respect the hell out of the writing and directing teams ability to make a psychological horror out of reparations lol

This week's episode is definitely in my top 3 favorite episodes of the series. I'm not at all surprised by the internet "critics" response to it.

knew my bro would see the vision

Loved the narrative and concepts of the episode

The way it actually panned out was whatever. I have no clue what the point of the restaurant was, a lot of the script was kinda empty, IDK

Could’ve tackled the topic way better

    B+

    have you ever worked catering

that scene honestly made that a perfect episode to me

very odd job kinda thing. mostly just blacker/darker skinned caribbean folk getting paid less than minimum wage

did it for like 2 years and it was honest work, but can be humiliating/demoralizing at times

The ones closest to you. He definitely gonna come back on some extortion s***.

They not really good at discernment. But then again most rappers irl are not good at discernment so this par for the course. Any nigga with that bad a hairline is bad news.

After typing, I thought right after, he must want AL to fail.
    What you said makes sense.

I had to laugh at the bad hairline comment tho

He prolly took the most important contents of the phone, sent it to himself then ditched it.

Good episode but like....why is Socks even with them? Tracy being a wildcard made sense bc he's friends with Al/Darius. Wiggle room would be given.

Socks is just some random ass dude
