I have been working with him on a new show he’s directing with Khloe Baylee, Domineek hunchback and Damnsun Edris. He does have a lot of black women supporting him professionally in front of and behind the camera. I’ll give him that. But I don’t think this new project will help matters. Head writer is the daughter of #44 (ugh), it’s about a teenage black girl- played by this funny looking 35+ actress- who goes on a murder spree, triggered by BFF Khloe killing herself when she finds out Damnsun cheated. She kills D in the first episode. It’s a really sick and twisted series and is making everyone wonder quietly amongst each other “what tf happened to these people as children because this is SICK!” I mean she kills him with a salt lamp and eats pie immediately after with blood soaked hands. Between how unattractive she is (and making her look worse) and then being a mentally declining serial killer… black women will be upset about their image being played with. They’re already setting up the marketing campaign to INCLUDE YOUR ANGER with such glee, it was demonic to witness. So, get ready for that s\*\*\* storm LSA. Bookmark this comment and you’ll see for yourself in one year.

so this show

apparently someone who worked on set posted the synopsis on lipstick alley

it’s supposed to be like the black dexter. chloe bailey’s character dates damson idris’s character. damson cheats on her and chloe kills herself. chloe’s characters best friend (no idea who the actress is) avenges her death by becoming a serial killer. the first person she kills is damson’s character. she kills him with a lamp shade and licks the blood after. the show is apparently supposed to be purposely controversial and is gonna piss black women off according to the poster of the thread on lipstick alley lol. it’d make sense considering that random ass question in his self-interview where he talks about black women

also malia obama is the head writer for the show? allegedly? idk. i can find and link to the thread if need be because i remember reading it

So of course we know this episode heavily deals with how European fashion brands appropriate black messages and imagery and/or naively design some racist s*** without even realizing it

We see this happen all the time, with these just being a couple examples

This happens because either you have some rich execs who are clueless about racist imagery, or because they never hire black people in the top positions to give counsel and be hands on with the design process

In this case, they do have a couple black people for counsel, but not the type who give AF about black issues. They are strictly in it for the money even at the expense of their own people.

Which is why the European dude was able to design a jersey saying 'Central Park 5' with a raccoon on the front. He has absolutely no idea how that can be taken wrong, and no f***in clue who the Central Park 5 are. He just sees a name and a number for a jersey.

And now you have this giant billboard displaying a white woman wearing the black trauma as a fashion statement , and surrounded by black men.
And everyone involved with it were clueless of the context
