Shroomed today. This episode stumped me

I don’t think it was a dream tho. I think it was Darius letting go of the past and his family who passed away and appreciating his new fam he has. That’s why his brother said “go be outside with your people”

Maybe the tank was a way for Darius to still feel connected to his family in a way by getting to “see them” And that’s why he does it once a week

I’m also assuming Darius brother died from some type of illness and that’s why he handed him some pills/medicine? Unless I missed something from that scene

Darius was always talking about dreams tho. The first episode. The drake episode talking about simulations. Crazy

Darius in the tank the whole episode. It was all a dream. Even that last part

Like how did Darius know to punch the poison fish guy? It’s all a dream.

That’s what I got from it on first viewing. Like he was relieved

Yea the more I think about it this episode was Darius closure. We got closure with Earn and Van and Al, this was Darius letting go of the past and truly being present and appreciating who he has in his life.

“Darius we are your real friends”

I don’t think they intended for this to be a “the whole series was just a dream” type finale, it plays on that trope but more so to be used as a tool to represent waking up and moving on.

You hear those sirens everytime he’s about to wake up. Af the end you can hear sirens again. Either he dreaming or police on the way

Maybe the true takeaway is: wether it was a dream or not, Darius is finally happy.

I think it being all a dream explains all the surrealism in the show. The entire show has a really dream like nature to it. Like almost every episode has a weird surreal moment just like the "Thick Judge Judy" which is a sign it's all a dream

Series finale? I thought there was gonna be one last season after season 4?
