    Like what is the correspondence between the two episodes or is it just that bro had the goofy hat on at the door

  • Need to make time to watch this in full

    Both episodes just seem to be directly referencing each other. And the fact that season 3 and 4 were written at the same time, makes me believe it was purposeful

    Both episodes are episode 8 of their seasons. And Al is literally the Goof Who Sat By The Door. And Thomas Washington was figuratively the Goof by the door, which is a reference to the Spook Who Sat By The Door

    Washington was a "tourist" at Disney and ended up by himself with no one to comfort him in a world of people refusing to accept his authentic self.

    Darius warns Al against becoming that.

    Al becomes dangerously close to that in Europe both literally (in the ep) and figuratively, because he seems so lonely and out of place. But in Season 4, he understands the importance of balancing the sacrifices you have to make as an artist with the privacy of being your own person.

    @wigg that's my theory

    had to go ahead and start this over just cuz its the best show shot in the city to date.

    It really hit me last night that this show was over. No more Atlanta ever again. Pretty sad but they had a hell of a run

    This feeling usually hits me hard but for some reason, the finale left me on such a high note that it wasnt that bad. The whole season had so many satisfying moments of closure for me.

    Atlanta fam we won !!!

    We are basically getting another Atlanta show

    vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/01/donald-glover-show-swarm-first-look

    Swarm was shot on film, features intimidatingly long takes, and, like Atlanta, has a number of narratively risky moments, requiring an actor who was completely committed and could deliver a resonant performance.

    Exciting new additions aside, Nabers notes that the show’s crew is comprised mostly of people who worked on Atlanta—to the point where Swarm feels like “a sister to Atlanta.” Swarm lives in “the same tonal space” as Glover’s Emmy-winning, genre-bending FX series.
