S***ty performance has to be an artistic choice at this point lol. I’ve always wanted a sci fi game from this dude but that framerate has me a bit worried
games in alpha
In development give it time they have to smooth it out. I still applaud him for actually showing gameplay especially since it feels like fall 2027
thinking spring 28, but hopefully fall cause Ueda games hit in November/december

Fall 2027 spring 2028 would be nice .
Yea I can respect that. I’m playing regardless
Day 1 can’t wait to figure out where we consistently get news
Beyond in and cannot get out
Why is everyone so hyped..is this already an exiting IP?

Ueda is your fave game directors fave. He always uses the technology and format to create an experience that many other games take inspiration from
Only fault is sometimes he is too in the future for some

trailer feels like his attempt at a widescreen blockbuster. which I feel is conceptually pretty interesting for him. he hasn’t done that yet

It’s the Ico guy…. The shadow of the colossus guy… you know the last guardian? That guy
The giant head is dope
This game going to change lives
Replaying the last guardian
People that don't take care of Trico in the first few levels and get filtered in the rest of the game for being a s***ty owner by the AI hating them always makes me giggle
Love that game it honestly might be my overall fav out of the 3

Yeah he does, also if you don't pet him consistent or when he does stuff, the AI also evolves based on how you treat em in fights too
Luckily I'm an animal simp who also has my main job of raising and training animals irl lmao so I naturally treated Trico very well and it listened to almost everything right away I did after the first few levels (i even almost fully plat'd it on my first natural playthrough 😂😂)
But you can f*** it up, where he he is more clumsy or outright ignores you a lot and so on
The AI evolution based on player treatment and player action is main technical achievements in Last Guardian that also goes with how realistic it acts and moves
Ppl that hate the game usually hate it because they f***ed up their bond with Trico without knowing and made the game so many times harder and "janky" for themselves without even knowing by naturally being a neglectful jackass lmao 💀
Love it so much and yeah the ending is crazy, plus the revelation of the barrels and the climax of fighting his homies
Saw a clip where Trico literally wouldn't jump properly for a player and kept ignoring half the time due to the player being a dumbass, and then it just started jumping back n forth of a gate and then laid down - ish I never seen my Trico do
N as someone who raises n trains animals (n generally knows a lot about animals) as my main source of living, all the details of Trico behavior, AI, animations and design is insane and so amazing n it's so cool how the AI evolved and reacts to you like a real animal to where you can royally f*** it up or have it be ride and die for u

Is there any way where i can find a decent and reliable a***ysis on their AI behavior? I've had multiple playthroughs, some of them where i had no issues and some of them were Trico wouldn't listen for s***. I always feed him barrels and pet him though so at one point i just figured it was just jank of the game. Played through the game like 4-5 times total but never actually got to understand how the game works like that internally compared to SOTC where i understand all the ins and outs and how to manipulate the game in my favor
reminds me of sotc mixed with death stranding n its own lil spice
Spot on like they had a baby
