how would putting out this BSF tape be getting him more of a bag than just a solo tape? that doesn't make logical sense cuz he has to split any royalties from this tape with them when he could easily keep the majority of the money from a solo tape

and i think it's obvious why benny is putting out "subpar material", being a good rapper =/= making good music, benny's pre-griselda material shows this, he needs someone like west to guide him

It's a side deal outside of his contract with Griselda obviously. Any way he can make some money hes taking advantage of it.

the whole Griselda sound is what Benny got hot, he was rapping the same way over trap beats on his 1 On A 1 tape and that didn't get him hot, Tana Talk 3 did

even looking at A Friend of Ours, there's a clear difference between the quality of that tape and TT3 or Plugs in the beats, song structures, hooks, sequencing, even mixing, etc

Tana Talk 3 is pretty much perfect in regards to all of that s***, and a lot of it has to do with West's executive producing that project

when he's left to his own devices, Benny just isn't making as good music as he is when he lets Gunn guide the sound

On My First brick he showed he could do a few different styles. The one hes using now is the one that works the best in the context of the music Griselda is making.

Gunn had very little to do with The Plugs I Met and it still rang off almost as loud as TT3.
Give Benny his credit as an artist. Hes the best rapper on the label. Just give him the right beats and hes gonna kill s***.

Idk i take your point that Bennys pen is Bennys pen, but West just seems to have a better handle on quality of projects and just way he moves. West b****es and moans and can seem corny sometimes but he always puts himself in the best position. I think thats what west brings in addition to his ear.
