Azealia Banks
Has to be one of the worst human beings out there.
Music stills slaps though lol
John Lennon, dude never posts anymore
he has a feature on cuck
Before I watch, Meek Mill's social media has definitely harmed my enjoyment of his music. I'm still and forever will be a fan (especially growing up in Philly seeing him literally grow from nothing to maybe the most successful rapper of that generation after the big 3) but I just am not checking for him like that the way every single time I see a Frank Ocean Instagram story I check it immediately, even though it is probably nothing
he was the first person I thought of
frank would be fine if he didnt go nearly a f***ing decade with no music. also not showing up for/phoning in live performances. also making f***ing d*** jewelry.
frank gets a pass from me. he was dropping singles and was gearing up for an album before the person closest to him passed and covid happened. i'd prefer if he released something but i can't tell someone how to deal with that
I like her new album
but Doja Cat fs
doja's raya account is hilarious kind of exactly what you'd think it is

I forgot about that
Still, I flew across the world to see him perform Blonde songs at Primavera and he didn't show up

people don't talk about this enough when it comes to Frank honestly, the narrative around him is unfair given the pandemic + the tragedy, otherwise he was on a pretty similar schedule as cO -> endless/blonde, and was way more active between 2017-2020 than he was from 2013-2016

it’s weird ppl act like he was some anti consumerist icon, nigga was mad regular and came up in an era where we still had that “cool” detached irony
he’s from a diff generation than the bulk of his under 30 fans, so i think there’s a genuine disconnect. as if they’re owed something because he’s a modern musical artist with left leaning sensibilities. he actually doesn’t have any left leaning sensibilities to my knowledge he’s a black bisexual, but that’s a whole other can of worms i’m not opening up rn
with that being said, i was always whatever about the pressure he received. he’s rich af and living the dream. but his coachella reception kinda upset me, it was blown way out of proportion and felt like it was the most rockstar s***. the only glaring issues was crack rock and the synth in white ferrari. everything else was performed at a high level, creative with his reimagining of his songs, and the dj set in the middle was a brilliant idea, given the festival and type of music frank plays.
it was a huge spectacle and i think it’s a shame he received sm heat especially considering what he said about his brothers relationship with the festival. i get the impression he never stopped loving music but has little to almost no interest in being the kinda public persona audiences want him to be.
I listen more to artists who aren’t online often, it’s become too parasocial and the artists are feeding the glaze whether they intend to or not

2016 he drops two albums then drops 10 singles 2017-2020 basically an albums worth in material in 3 years

I'm under 30 but i was also on the internet my entire f***ing life and frank is like a regular ass dude who lowkey. He likes nice things and made some good business moves he should be allowed to do what he wants.
He gave us the coachella he wanted and performed in a unique way. People praised Playboi Carti for screeching into the mic and not performing his songs god forbid Frank does a few remixes and jumps around for a little
I’m still a huge Cudi fan but his presence online definitely changed how I viewed him a bit. Not necessarily in a bad way but he lost a lot of appeal to me as an original fan. Feels like he’s focused on kids than his core base. And the music changed and feels like some Disney s*** idk
