for example the records drake broke this week - came from jay, mj and taylor
none of these records has to do with kendrick. overall numbers wise these guys never really competed.
yall f***ed the game up when you tried to downplay all of drakes achievements. people should have just congratulated and kept it movin, for all these artists and their achievements
the non stop hate was always gonna backfire, since niggas will always be looking forward to return the favor

May 25·2 repliesI can say objectively Drake lost the battle with Kendrick because he absolutely gained nothing out of it. Kendrick gained A LOT out of it. So that’s why he lost.
However, Iceman is an interesting listen to me. If you’re not listening from an extreme perspective of Drake is Satan or Drake is invincible, it’s a pretty unique theme of a bitter guy’s perspective on his peers and execs. and how he views the music industry. I think it’s hard to come by a meta album like that from a big artist.
lol, it’s really as simple as that. For me that’s compelling. But I can see how for others it sounds like just a sore loser album. Which it kinda is but once again I think it makes for a good album.

Good take. I think Drake lost pretty clearly but it's a way more interesting album than CLB or FATD. It's kinda schizo but it's entertaining and captivating

I still feel pretty diametrically opposed to some of the paradoxical themes in the album where drake is both victim yet not or kendrick is both very weak and a strong looming threat
I do agree its a good schizo listen it feels like drake's kinda lost it abit in a way that feels conducive to his art
