from that trailer i think they’re gonna explore him being in love w his childhood/teenage best friend, repressing his sexuality out of fear due to the time and being gay not as accepted, most likely his best friend isn’t going to be into him or have those requited feelings for him and it’ll end the friendship. it’s no excuse for the s*** he’s doing now but as someone who relates to that pain i get it. i’m sure it’ll touch on him getting married and having kids just to do it but he’s obviously not happy or fulfilled and wonders what his life would be like had he been out / married his best friend etc
