It was definitely planned. Cassies mom was trying to chat her up to stall for time & everyone else was just there hanging out

huh? i don't see how that's possible. Rue didn't plan to go to Lexi's house. she was running out of options and always falls back on her old friend. i assumed that while Rue was "in the bathroom" and rummaging thru their s***, Lexi's mom (or even Lexi) called Rue's mom to get over there and get her. The most I can imagine is Rue's mom calling them before Rue showed up and saying "hey, Rue ran away if she comes over please call me." None of them were expecting Rue to show up especially in that state, they were there hanging out cause they're all friends lol.

I was only curious about the time it took place because there were balloons and decorations for Maddy's party still around

Idk how y’all can possibly say this isn’t some of the best acting on TV right now. Zendaya definitely deserves an Emmy nom for this episode alone.

Facts I started rewatching season 1 again last week cause I haven’t watched it since it first aired and man it doesn’t even come close to this one so far

Watching it again felt like a whole different show and not in a good way tbh, not that s1 sucks but it doesn’t have that suspense and mood s2 has and that’s what this type of subject matter needs to get the point across, I totally see why people said it glamorized d*** use after rewatching s1

The massive improvement of the show is crazy. S1 had a lot of Gen Z cringe in it but it wasn’t terrible but compared to this season it’s definitely a joke lmao

i'm actually seeing a lot of criticism about Rue's mom and not being aware her daughter relapsed, is doing d**** in her household, etc etc

so Rue can be the most clever, conniving d*** addict who isn't even home more than half the time, and duping pretty much all of the people in her life. but when an alcoholic mother picks up on another addict in withdrawal, suddenly Rue's mom is a blind piece of s***. lmao idk

we see how Rue reacts when she's even questioned about anything. her mother isn't dumb but she's a mother, who probably desperately wants to believe her child is getting better. so wanting to put some trust and faith into her child isn't being a "shitty mother." pleading with her to get treatment/go to rehab isn't being a "shitty mother." kicking her ass out on the street would've been a different story.

5 mins in and this is such award bait man. Rue gotta die. Mid ass character. How you the lead and everyone else more interesting than you? Also, Gia got two jobs in this show, either cry or scream or peek around corners?

    bad take.

Kinda nice they made it to once a week episodes instead of releasing everything. So no one can spoil s***

  • Feb 7, 2022

i'm cryin at all the heat Jules and especially Elliot are catching now tho. yeah he's an addict too. yeah he knew where the d**** were from. these characters are still high schoolers faced with a very real and severe situation. impulses strike. why wouldn't Jules go to Rue's mother who has the actual means to get her real help.
