Crazy cause I was thinking also thinking about it from a screenwriters perspective, I think we’ve truly entered the ‘point of no return’ part of the main character’s journey, every bridge is burned. Starting to think the season 3 renew thing might just be some smart marketing to throw people off and convince them Rue stays alive tbh. Why announce that after 4 episodes but specifically right before this one? I’m not buying it lmao

Also now there’s no way Cal is just gonna be a non factor now. His character went through the most change this season. In the first episode Nate getting beat up by Fez introduced him to the d*** dealer side of the story where up until now his character or any parent in the show has never stepped into. Wouldn’t be surprised if Lexi is somehow involved in that part of the story now as well. Maybe Ali and Cal cross paths too, who knows

With it being 10 episodes this time there’s still alot of story left to be told, hopefully it continues to leave the pointless flashy stuff alone and focus on plot the way they did this episode.
