I aint gon' lie breh is it cool if I just jump right in with no context or backstory at all?
Well yeah she did right? I mean we know Jules is a hoe, a cheater, etc.
Some hoes cheat when they feel hurt, it’s f***ed up. She felt hurt about Rue lying about using, so her way of getting back at her or making herself feel better is cheating. It’s f***ed up.
But assuming she ain’t showing remorse is a stretch cus the b**** ain’t have to sit through all that verbal abuse in last nights episode. I promise part of the reason she stayed is cus of her guilt.
agree with this. Jules is not that likeable to me overall and I can’t stand her repeatedly f***ing Rue over on some passive aggressive resentment s*** but she was a champ here tbh
not only by telling Rues mother about her addiction but by holding her own when Rue was spitting all that (true) hateful bile at her
the part that gets me is how everybody just stood here letting Rue go in like that for 3 mins without intervening or doing anything
Man idk, Jules’ is my favourite character and I’ve already defended her a lot this week and I don’t think she deserved any of what Rue said to her, but the way she acted in Ep4. definitely didn’t show any signs of remorse or guilt for cheating
Rue left the room for all of 40 seconds and she was right back to making out with Elliot - the cheating was definitely pre-meditated and most likely would’ve carried on behind Rue’s back for a few weeks if Elliot didn’t tell her
Even the fact that she brought Elliot with her is kinda crazy tbh
I agree
Jules has been terrible throughout this season however, I still sympathize with her in Ep 5 given her own history dealing with her mom’s addiction
Lmao I think it was me. I kind of got bored episode 1 and saw people saying they didnt like this season nearly as much but I’ll watch them before Sunday. How are they? I just like the show soooo much more when it focuses more on Rue and her trying to get clean. I think they do a much better job writing that.
Hell yeah bro
Rue is the force that grounds it together and the show is at its best when it’s about her and her addiction. I think it’s because Sam Levinson went through a lot of the things that she went through so it’s really genuine on his part. I usually fast forward through most scenes involving other characters. but then I’ll get bored and go back to watch the s*** and remain unimpressed
i didn’t miss a single second of this most recent episode though
My guy
Would recommend bc it's a really good binge watch. Don't take it too seriously and you'll enjoy it.
what’s crazy about this show is that I don’t take it seriously at all and the show itself doesn’t seem to take itself seriously most of the time
but that makes the moments where s*** really gets real hit so much harder, insane
I ain't gonna lie that s*** was tough when her momma told her she was a bad person
yeah I sympathize with her mom but I actually think that was really f***ed up to say
Rue has repeatedly voiced her feelings that she is not a good person which drives her actions but other characters repeatedly have tried to tell her otherwise. but her mother, the main person who’s championed her sobriety, officially saying that she’s bad slams the door on any argument that could be made that she is good
that’s gonna stay with Rue forever. it could inspire her to be better but who knows
But yeah that episode was dark af and actually super realistic. Besides the cop chase, that s*** was embellished af
that cop chase s*** actually annoyed me on first watch but now I like it
Rue is an unreliable narrator. I forget this often but she has admitted so herself. I think she really was on demon mode throughout that night but I don’t think it was as drawn out and ridiculous as it appeared onscreen
Hope none of y’all are watching this on Sunday instead of the super bowl
watch Sydney Sweeny jugs or buff men grope each other? idk man this a easy pick
Damn pretty much 90% of the characters in this show are either pieces of s*** or f***ed up. Lexi and to an extent Fez are like the only main characters I actually like as people.
definitely
But to be fair, I think that’s a main theme of the show. there have been multiple scenes of Rue and Cassie in particular calling themselves bad people
I’m still catching up, but f***, this show is so entertaining. It’s not realistic, but it doesn’t need to be, it just needs to be true to its own vision. Just got to the Jules solo episode. I love flawed characters and this show is full of them.
I aint gon' lie breh is it cool if I just jump right in with no context or backstory at all?
no
Jules is pretty selfish, but she’s cute, and confused.
I have such a soft spot for her, I’m not too familiar with the trans experience, but she just nails how I imagine it might be. Coming to terms with your identity.
This show for some reason has this reputation as like a “guilty pleasure” show or something. That is nonsense. It’s just a good show.

Yeppp, I will always ride for this show. Been a huge fan since season 1

Absolutely not
