I had a feeling that the pandemic was going to shut us down for a while leading up to it because I was watching what was happening to the rest of the world. So the day they called to shut us down, I actually pitched the idea of doing a super contained Euphoria movie, and if not that, then multiple character studies. And HBO said, “I think we should all just go home and stay inside for six weeks!” Six weeks later, they said that we were most likely going to push season two until September. I then wrote Malcolm and Marie, which they gave me their blessing to go shoot with Z and our Euphoria crew. Then season two got pushed until 2021, so they asked if I could do COVID episodes.

They just used the same crew that work on Euphoria to make Malcom and Marie. The crew was on standby for Season 2 which is why Sam had to ask.

HBO had no involvement outside of that

film industry so interesting

honestly no-ones a villain. I always thought Rue's worst enemy was herself and her addiction to d****.

Jules is pretty toxic tho. Not intentionally but still toxic.

everyone is "toxic" on the show except lexie....she's s pure that i fear something bad will happen to her

just did my 8th rewatch of season and i've come to the conclusion that rue is the main character while jules and nate are the protagonist and antagonist.

outside of jules and lexie, rue doesn't interact with the other characters, while jules and nate are both impacting every ones storylines.
