its just tough because you know the kids in GoT were thrown into war. They woulda did anything initially to play the back (sans Robb) and let higher chains of leadership dictate action. We do eventually arrive at a point where Arya and Jon just do whatever the hell they want and the plot protects them, but initially, they at least feel careful and understanding of their lack of understanding of how things work

Jace, Rhaena, to some degree Aegon and Aemond, these big ass f***ing egos to do the s*** they do. And maybe you can explain that away with them being A. Targaryens and inherently f***ed in the head to some degree and B. wielders of these Dragons that the future narrative has clearly indicated made Targs eventually drunk with power. We've also heard many times over that historically, people with little war exp. have made pretty large scale mistakes

the last 20 does yeah. the first 40 just feels too much like S2. I would rather just burn that and let it rot with S2, and then the last 20 allows it to end that on a high note. I think that would've done such a good job of washing the bad taste out people's mouths.

I actually feel like the rest of the ish we're getting, based on the next episode preview, will feel pretty refreshing overall. Seems like Rhaenyra and her vengeance will at least have a new tenor + have less of a market share with the Hightowers having their own angle.
