A Feast For Crows is my 2nd favorite ASOIAF book, but I know that’s a hot take . I can see what you mean by some things “dragging” but most of it was pretty great for me .
But yea he definitely expanded the story a little too much
I don't think they're terrible books or anything, just a lot of high highs and low lows compared to the first 3 which were all total bangers from start to finish.
Think In the book it was the opposite and it was the dragon finding a half dead Aegon or something like that
Im about to read it tbh
in Fire & Blood Sunfyre is seen by locals all wounded and feeding on animals. He also kills a wild dragon. Then Aegon and him just turn up at the end of the story. None of this stuff with Aegon is in the book.
F&B is REALLY barebones. It's basically just cliff notes of important events.
From what I’ve seen people were saying it was transcripts and gossip
ngl this season started off real strong but fell off for me around the fifth episode. had to turn it off last night cus it was boring us lmao

Yep exactly. It's told from the perspective of maesters/historians trying to piece together history from various different accounts.

I've read the main books twice and put that down pretty quick.
Michael Moorecock's Elric the Melbonean is what I saw someone recommend for House of the Dragon. You can tell George RR Martin had read it lol. Reads very much like the Targaryens set around the Doom of Valyria.
The last 2 dragged like hell at times and he wrote himself into a wall with all the Meereen s***. There's a reason he hasn't put anything out in 15 years. There are SO many loose threads/characters that's it like "how do we even wrap this up...?"
Literally lost the plot

How’d this niggas dragon just come back from the dead
He did say it was alive a few episodes ago when he went to see him. They thought he was crazy
we never getting them books huh
When I found out he wrote jack s*** during COVID
The world was ending and he couldn't go anywhere and he said nah I'm good

"If I were really cynical, I wouldn't write what I'm writing now, these novels. I would start some sort of medieval sword and sorcery thing and say it's a trilogy and then keep writing it for the rest of my life..."
Just finished the episode and I'm confused why niggas were talking about it like it's Battle of the B******s or something
This is your average GoT/HotD episode
Nahhhh
They absolutely popped off with this episode. Deadass might be the best one of the series. Easily the best one this season tho.
I really don't get it. First episode still the best one of the season so far imo

I’m the first to say s2 was dull but this right here is crazy hate how much longer could it have been this ain’t Jurassic world lmao. Those dragons got f***ing busy
Between that, alicent poisoning Aemond, Aegon getting his dragon back and flaming an army, Ulf revealed to be the plant, and setting up a whole battle with most of the main players next episode, I don’t see how you could call this episode uneventful lmao
that was it?
?
that was it?
