Come someone just explain to me wtf is going on I’m so lost
Serac is trying to plan a perfect world using Rehoboam, therefore for the greater good everybody is assigned a role in the world so as to keep everything balanced. They all have a role to play. Similar to Westworld.
Dolores essentially released all this information to people. For those who don’t fit in to this plan, the anomalies such as Caleb, finding this out is tough to accept.
Serac’s motivation appears to be very similar to Ozymandias from Watchmen (world peace founded on a lie) except he has master race aspirations like Zod from Superman. But instead of killing off anomalies or agitators (the hosts Dolores brings out with her would count) they force them into occupations (war) that takes care of the dirty work or they hold them under observation (his brother as an example).
Dolores and the gang leaving the park and coming into the world presents an unpredictable variable that Rehoboam doesn’t fully understand. Hence why I think they need the Westworld data from the Sector 16 project.
That’s what I’ve surmised without looking at reddit and just from my own observation. I’m trying to make sense of it too, but not sure if I’m on the right arc.

This is the cover they played. Thought it was another classic Djawadi recreation but he didn't have to. Loved it in the ep.
I think they just followed up the best episode ever with the worst lol. The genre d*** sequence felt so unnecessary and added very little except for one explosion was kind of cool. We got a lot of cool information from the episode, I just think it was shown poorly.
The obvious parallels of violence being the outcome when people/hosts in Westworld/real world are told they live in a loop was cool, though I don’t understand why in the people’s case. I expect protest, all we saw was people fighting each other.

Yeah I'm going to have to rewatch it tomorrow. I didn't like the d*** sequence, at least the first few bits.
I did like all of the Serac background scenes though. The Caleb flashbacks he was having, letting the people out of their cages, the musical choices, the Connels explosion. Really everything besides the first few d*** sequences, and you're right it really didn't add anything substantial.

Well maybe the use of the d*** is what triggered the flashbacks for Caleb
Genre sequence was lame AT first but got hilarious when he started feeling the love part with delores lmao

Dolores is threatening the world with the best anarchy display on TV

the scene that goes with this song

so many buzzwords for justifying the d*** scene but dont really think it was necessary tbh
That scene where Caleb and Dolores got out the vehicle during the d*** sequence where the bad guys just stopped and couldn’t hit them once was laughable bad.
