Seen some really exciting praise for this, can’t wait
Between this, obsession and backrooms, May is looking good for horror
(Lee cronin’s mummy too but that wasn’t great, and passenger which had a great teaser but full trailer isn’t that great)

Obsession tickets should go up next week . Backrooms tickets are up now
Currently at a 91% on RT. Horror fans are going to eat like crazy in May.

Passengers( I’m mixed on )
Backrooms
Not what I expected at all but I really dug this. I felt a very Alan Wake esque vibe to this for some reason. I felt the overall themes of the film were stronger than the horror, of which it was pretty solid there too

S*** was crazy
There was a guy who fell asleep but he fell asleep at a time a character in movie was sleeping . We all thought the sound was amazing then we realized there was a guy sleeping . He was snoring so loud that someone in back yelled wake him up then a woman pointed him out
S*** was hilarious
Really liked this. Not what you’d expect based on the trailers, but I think it finds its footing by the end of it. My one gripe is that I wish we got more of the creepy figure that was used as the money shot for the trailers

There is a lot to discuss with the ending

Jack the rabbit didn’t give no f\*\*\*s . He was haunted by guilt of his mom who he saw in Fiona. Fiona saves him from killing himself yet she is still doomed to die. Feels like Alby manuscript lowkey had clues.
the circle in the desert being trapped in his alcoholism like his dad . His dad in many ways wanted him dead so that was original epilogue . Then changes it to dad character let’s go of the bottle . He originally chooses the alcohol or moon shine .he is tricked into the shrooms which lead to him seeing the unknown . He attempts suicide because he looks into the mirror and hates himself we can believe . I believe the witch exist though .
still do agree the witch and jack rabbit a bit underused and unresolved . It was solved a bit neat on Fiona , hotel and others side . Overall enjoyable. Relied on jump scares a bit much . They did Jerry , Fiona a bit dirty .
Thought this was fire until the last 10 mins then it lost me
The last 10 minutes was a bit odd where I felt like I missed something
the tone of the hospital scene and time skip was just poorly placed . Send help did something similar . Doing time skips when main characters are possibly on d\*\*\*\* , hallucinating or died and entered a false reality is unnecessary. Just show us so we trust what happened
Movie more about processing trauma . There is horror too it at times but it feels like it holds back from really trying to disturb or scare you . Definitely fun with a larger crowd .
