They didn't. They were bought out by Apple and Apple just wanted the technology not the brand. Through that transaction is how we got Apple Music which used to be Beats Music or some s*** like that

apple copped them and they got integrated into the apple ecosystem. they also have a new line of buds that are on par with the airpods and use all their technology. basically they serve as an athletically inclined alternative
