Besides the success stories you hear and s*** on YouTube are mainly in the minority. Not trying to be a downer, if you got great ideas with ideal timing and know what you’re doing, then the rewards are HUGE.
Exactly!! Folks get mad when you speak realistically about starting a business. Most businesses fail and the ones you seeing takeoff like that are in the minority. Folks sell a few t shirts and think they got the whole game figured out.

I care because I see this s*** suck the life out of friends and family in real time. Some of the most creative people with the brightest personalities around me have turned into shells of their former selves ever since they've started working/going to college. It hurts seeing people you care about like that.

Start a business. It doesn't even have to be anything grand. It can be small. Helped me keep my sanity. These days I feel like I'm actually LIVING and not just surviving.
I know of a girl with tourettes who started a business from selling seashells on Etsy because no one would hire her. She's well off now off of a small Etsy store.
