Yeah this discussions revolves around understanding how black legends are viewed. It's the same for lgbt pioneers/legends.
You don't think it looks weird when eminem can make fun of women, black artists, lgbt artists (all the whilst the playing field not being the same for those artists) and go relatively unscathed. other artists don't get supported as much simply because of their sexual orientation (that's why some stay in the closet) or the color of their skin.
Im sorry but hos antics make him look like an out of touch asshat. The system played out in his favor.

Man I’m not gon keep going wit this s***. I literally have an anti racism tattoo on my hand and I’m not gon sit here arguing about singing songs lmao. It has never caused a problem in real life, wit strangers or otherwise. I don’t say it in conversation, I’ve never used it as an insult, but if artists want to feel a way about their FANS THAT PUT MILLIONS INTO THEIR POCKETS singing the lyrics that they wrote, then they shouldn’t put them in there. It’s that simple. Because I know when I go to a Kendrick show and look around and see a 75% white crowd, not a single person is silent at the end of each bar in “Maad City”. But they all there showing love and respect and making that man rich and powerful. But they’re racists right?

None of this means anything if you understood how being racist is not a 'this' or 'that' side, hot or cold concept. People can house (sub)conscious discriminatory animosity towards a culture without ever truly understanding their entertaining it. S*** is irrelevant anyways because I’m 100% Italian and stay getting confused for Hispanic. 3 closest friends are black and Puerto Rican. Growing up in Chicago I was always primarily around Hispanics and didn’t really have white friends. I’m not “these white people”. F*** out my face about “these white people”. It ain’t one size fits all.
