    the big 3 was never just about skill, that was a factor in discussions but it was almost always about that (and timing) paired with popularity (sales + charts). idk where this discourse came from that it was about skill primarily

    But the big 3 was more consistent when it mattered and dropped projects that cemented them.

    He should have blended 2-3 pop singles on his albums and he would be in the goat situation. The industry simply doesn’t push lyrical rap even if it’s amazing. Collating and features with pop artists would have helped too
