Exactly 👌🏽 It’s almost like it makes white people uncomfortable knowing other people have their own foundations (a big factor in white supremacy) The more we can learn to celebrate our differences the more things will feel less tense in this country specifically

I have my issues with you but if we can be real for a second:

Wanting to be “accepted” is your first mistake. You should never force or beg for acceptance.

You wanna be a white rapper (for example) in a black or Mexican person’s game? Don’t cry about being white and not getting respect by your peers

Get respect and “acceptance” by being talented and showing how dope you are

Be authentic, be yourself and that’s good enough. If someone doesn’t accept you, well you don’t need it

Just show off your talent and give love to everybody and that’s all you can do

As I stated multiple times I am not only talking about the white guy in hip hop example. It's in every area of life. Wouldn't it suck if everyone started acting like this? Yes I know a lot of them still think that way but I absolutely don't. What I want is the next gen to be more open to each other and I feel like it is going that way too. Someone invented something but that doesn't mean that everyone else shouldn't be allowed to be a part of it - if done respectfully ofc

Bruh this just reminded me of this wack ass history teacher I had in hs who spent an entire lecture saying how he don’t see color and how he was so proud of it. Spent the entire semester getting the papers of a different Asian kid.

If you're not black, don't try to be black

Nobody owes you acceptance and understanding, least of all a historically persecuted minority group

If you're in hip hop and want to be accepted, first accept that you are a guest, be yourself, collaborate with people who are not like you and add something to the culture and MAYBE you will be accepted. But again, it's not owed to anyone.

I'm white and came out of an extremely racist corner of the United States. I feel fortunate that I was able to learn as much about hip hop as I have and even made friends because of it once I moved away. Most of the people I knew growing up were indoctrinated in a way that made them see rap music as the enemy, my parents included.

But at this point, rap is so prevalent in mainstream society that I think white people forget that they aren't inherently a part of it. Nobody likes feeling left out but that's kind of the point in this case.

I know MAD Ricans and Cubans who look White. Not just Italian White but some look WASP White lol. I've seen plenty with Blonde hair and green eyes.

But there are plenty who are Black too. And Dominicans are generally Black at least in appearance.
