he was dope af
he really was, underrated asf
These guys fit neatly into the continuity. Idk why people pretend they would've changed everything.
They were young and just starting out…
what the difference between embodying the change and being a part of it
word salad
They were young and just starting out…
People be weird man they can’t acknowledge artist dying young before they could develop more is what ruined rap scene
Kanye dropped a lil pump collab around the same time
Kendrick hasn't put a single decent artist on ever and has music with rich the kid he's no sign of quality
You're just moving goalposts. Just because Kanye collabed with Lil Pump it just makes his opinions on music irrelevant? You don't have to like X but to say everyone only cosigned him for clout sounds silly
Peep had the most potential of the four but imo he was going nowhere fast due to his out of control d*** use. It was getting really sad to watch just before his death.
yea xxx was super problematic too, it's possible his issues might have landed him in jail anyway

Weird as f*** lol. We would’ve been having this same convo about Dot, Drake, or Cole if God forbid any of them went out after just establishing their name and art.

nah if Cole passed after his debut album people would be s***ting on him harder than Juice Wrld

they were shaping up to become major pillars in the game for years to come and hadn't even tapped into their full potential yet, ppl don't miss them for no reason, insane loss

game so f***ed up after that we let Yachty get away with making a fake Tame Impala album (which I enjoyed) and we called that s*** groundbreaking
X SAVE US

They only respect certain black artist . Yes the quality of music , aims and lyrics are different but they all deserved to live

I mean Rapsody might disagree
he definitely had a hand in getting Little Simz on Ab Soul tour
Paak with Tints and Black Panther
got BADBADNOTGOOD a Grammy
got SZA the biggest song of her career
Keem
Jay Rock biggest hits

Exactly this. People lack basic empathy. Like for somebody to say “only depressed people” like their music is so disingenuous and just says a lot about that person and how they perceive others. It’s not even worth arguing or replying back to some of these cats after a certain point.

the artists he took on his first big tour
Anderson .Paak
Travis Scott
DRAM
YG
James Blake
SiR
but let a KTT user tell it, he put no one on lol. Travis dropped Astroworld after this tour just for a perspective

It makes sense
They both have worked with artists for reasons outside of the artists undeniable talent. Either to have a certain image (look at all of those whos all over the last Kendrick album) to stay current (rich the kid collabs, too many Kanye collabs to even say)
Just because they hyped a guy up I wouldn't say "wow they must really believe in this dude!" Especially when I listen to the music and it's complete and total butt
