Yes, to say that this image is purely symbolic, that they didn't achieve anything there and actually strengthened the counter-revolution for a simple photo-op is horrendous.
The only think that resulted from their invasion of the Capitol was a law "barring anyone but law enforcement from bringing a loaded firearm into the Capitol".

BelkaI hate this defeatist attitude that just because your opposition has overwhelming force, defeat is inevitable. If the general public doesn't f*** with you, you will never win. We've seen Empires struggle to fight Guerillas' forever.
Israel is struggling against Hamas, but they can struggle forever if they can throw every cutting edge weapon the US ships them. Now imagine the US inside the US. They can blow you up before you even think about doing something. I'm not happy about this either.
