That's why they're always so mad at him. They really do believe they know the real him and that whoever he is right now is a fake version of that person (mental illness, if you ask me). That's why you have stupid requests for him to "make mature music" or "take a break and disappear for some years." They think whoever returns will make the music that made them fall in love with him in those early years, instead of them embracing the person in front of them.

I don't know why anyone would expect the same guy who came into the game in 2009 to have survived all the bullshit he's gone through and all the nonsense he's had to deal with and would still remained the doe-eyed 21 year-old kid who made So Far Gone. He's said it himself on songs, he can't rap like he used to rap as a teenager/early adult anymore because he's seen too much and knows too much. That's just the natural evolution of any human being, but he's the only one never allowed that evolution.

The problem is that y'all's criticisms of Drake are always about who he is as a person. None of us know him well enough to be making those kinds of determinations but people like you always feel like you know who the "real" Drake is and take it a step further by insisting that whoever he is now is fake.
