I didn’t listen to it when it came out but now I can’t stop. I liked Starboy when it came out but never really went back to it. I couldn’t get into Trilogy. What should I listen to next? Songs or projects.

After Hours maybe. The way it build up to that killer line; “because this house is not a home, without my baaaaabyyyy”

Or Alone Again. It feels so raw. It doesn’t feel like something an artist would have to sit down and think about writing. It seems like it came out naturally.

Save Your Tears, Blinding Lights and In Your Eyes all classics too but literally every song is a hit to me.

I second this. it's his only other work that feels like a created universe that you can really sink your teeth into.

It's one of the best albums of last decade @op tbh

I remember I wasn't a big The Weeknd fan before After Hours and I played it just to check if it's s***e

First 30 seconds of the album and I was

Yep @op if you liked the world building Abel created in AH then Kiss Land is your best bet

MDM is also sonically very similar

It’s an amazing album, I love the intro track Alone Again the most.
A friend of mine, who is a huge weeknd stan since HoB said he preferred AH over KL. I don’t know about that though, I’d go with KL.

What’s the KTT verdict? AH or KL?

Tbh depending on how I'm feeling my answer can change but I really feel like After Hours is "The Weeknd" music perfected.

Like I can hear little tidbits of everything from all of his albums wrapped up into one cohesive listening experience.

The grittiness and darkness of Trilogy is present, the worldbuilding of Kiss Land is there, the ear candy pop hits are obviously also there, and it's all under one album. So for that, I think I gotta go with After Hours.

It's like the quintessential Weeknd album.
