FIRST THINGS FIRST: F*** ALL THE NUMBERS, SALES, WHAT PEOPLE SAYING ALL THAT,WHAT PEOPLE EXPECTED, THE GODAWFUL, STRUGGLE-NARRATIVES I'VE SEEN PEOPLE COME UP WITH (jfc ) : -IRRELLEVANT MISS ME WITH ALL THAT
so when i went to bed the 25th after celebratig christmas with my parents and my sister and her fam i kept dreaming i the album already dropped in my dreams because i've been thinking bout it for the longest, me and someone else holding my hand were dashing through crowds of people at this festival-ish event while WLR was runing through my mind. at one point i spotted Drake seated at some table like 20 m infront of me and he motioned me to come sit down, so as i got seated face to face to Drake he held up his phone and the WLR artwork was visible on some streaming service he had and some song was playing and he was just cheesing in excitement meanwhile i was a literal mess, just crying uncontrollably about the album finally being out i dont really remember what took place after this but i kept dreaming i woke up, saw the album was out as my excitement shot through the roof and i hit play, this happened multiple times i dreamt it was out, hit play, "woke up" like "OOOH i was just dreaming lmfao, okay lets get it!" SIKE, another dream fast forward i f***ing wake up fam. its f***ing OUT. its LITERALLY ingested and in my f***ing hands fam. i hit play on "Rockstar Made"with my new headphones and brUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH the synths hit like me amphetamines on steroids. keep in mind i have AVOIDED the leaks on purpose, i've only heard "Kid Cudi" and some of the snippets he previewed weeks ago when he popped back up on Twitter.

Carti's hurting a lot on this one and i love how personal and vulnerable alot of the lyrics/subject matter is (inb4 "its not that deep fa-" GO F*** YOURSELF A THOUSAND TIMES ) im obviously looking from the outside in, but im getting the vibe that he's made alot of uncomfortable realizations about himself lately, (that he may not necessarily know how to deal with yet) which really shines through had me howling that he(not on the same song btw) said "i could wear a dress suit and speak proper"
oh yeah this the short review by the way, love the energy, its so f***ing visceral and tangible: - s*** i rage to fam, s*** i cry to

This is the most interesting rap album to come out this year and its cause it doesnt sound like anything else and doesnt feature the same 5 people you heard a million times before
