Jesus told us there is no need for a church, to be in a public space to obtain recognition for God.

I just find it odd Jesus was against public displays of faith and the money being collected by priests at the temples he built back in the day.

Just for the catholic and Protestant church to turn to public displays of faith and taking money from believers of Christ.
