Whoops the post has one period

mmmm i kinda just interpreted it now as him saying we choose what we want to be a victim to

i don't believe he meant actual slavery was a choice more so the way we choose to be slaves to things that don't serve us

Exactly and it’s kind of reinforced by some of the things he said after . Still a tough statement to put it back 400 years and say we are choosing to still be victims . With all the pain in between. He was trying to get at Black Lives Matter movement and it’s a mixed bag . Even if edgy and not fully informed enough to truly articulate

I think a bad faith read is just saying “ he thinks we easily could have nat turner all slave owners or charged against their guns they could never defeat us “ . He takes into account society breaks us down mentally

  • Apr 5

“ I’m just watching teen titans while clearly not reading what you are saying and responding with bad faith vitriol”
    I know I can tell

One of the worst examples to use, and the comments on Harriet Tubman don't help with beating the allegations either

You keep using the word “ we” there is no collective mind state . I’ve never met you in my life . There is no way on the internet for me to accurate know you are black , your thoughts , age , gender , nation. The people listening to ye currently or choosing to forgive them a large majority have no call of action for you . They are doing it but they aren’t asking you to do anything

If your we means humanity or black people choosing to forgive or not forgive ye. Everyone is an individual . You desire others not forgive ye as you do because you view it as “ danger “ . What is the danger in forgiveness of someone who is now medicated who said hateful things online ?

Yall keep writing spiral again as if it’s inevitable and not even wanting or hoping the situation improves .

Man I don't know if you are doing this on purpose but you somehow find a way to not respond to my concerns and you just ask me questions instead

Maybe it's because you are arguing with multiple people at once but I didn't say anything about a "call of action", I just expressed how concerning it is for people to be quick to forgive him and celebrate his return when we have been in the same song and dance before.

Unfortunately, him potentially spiraling is something we have to talk about. We can't ignore the elephant in the room; this has happened multiple times and it has become a pattern which is why it's on my mind.

Personally, I don't know what it will take for me to forgive the s*** he said but I am wishing the best for his health. I think I would have been more acceptable of this type of celebration if it was a few years later but again, it feels like he apologised just yesterday lmao

That's such an overtly charitable way to look at the statement lol idk what it is about ye that makes people pull such mental gymnastics whenever he says something

While still wrong in many ways this is the fuller quote

“ "To make myself clear. Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will," he wrote. "My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved."

Mentally we were broken down in many ways successfully so it can seem like a choice . Same way if an entire prison united they would possibly have a way to momentarily gain freedom

I never took it as him not thinking rape, whips, chains , guns existed . I think he was just sad that numbers are on our side . Same way at the time he felt artist should leave enslavement of contracts , black people shouldn’t blindly accept democrats . It’s a rough way to say numbers are on our side

it’s a 12 minute conversation with Van Lathan saying the exact same things me and another user were saying with space for both to speak…where are you getting edited clips from? everyone watched the full video lmfao

I am asking for a call to action because you state “ this is dangerous and concerning “ and other than not forgive or trust him you haven’t stated anything . Even those that enjoyed bully or the show know he is a human being and could have another possible breakdown . They understand what being bipolar is and hope he continues to stay medicated and on course

Having a bad faith discussion or thinking “ we should wait a year before we forgive him in any form “ . It’s not even forgive or forget it’s the man was out of his mind for multiple years as many of us said while it was happening to many degrees . Because of how much he was dealing with and how much he pushed himself with an obsession with becoming a billionaire and perceived enemies

I think continuously saying “ we “ and anyone who doesn’t feel as I do is anti black isn’t constructive

Watching his show or listening to his album doesn’t mean someone forgot what he said or doesn’t view him differently for not getting help sooner.

I’m just not going to hold on to it forever

I am saying they edited out where he said worse things including mention Hitler and the Jews then. They knew he was manic and having an episode and took advantage of it .

What’s the point to being on a forum if you can’t read a post to completion without emotionally reacting ? Not responding to what was said in good faith @Valentine

You really do lack reading comprehension. I am saying HE WAS WRONG. But the goal of the WRONG statement he made leaves out the pain . I’ve read slave narratives galore m
I have a sentence in there that says what he said is “ IDEALISTIC SPEAKING”

Can you please take your time reading sentences and understand what I’m saying before responding

  • Apr 5

The reason why a mature discussion can’t be had about ye on this forum is because people choose to not read . Choose to respond without reading , comprehending or understanding. Then tell you what they think your beliefs are . All with no call to action besides feel how they feel or you are dumb

how did it make it clear he was in a manic episode? because the Jewish owner of the company decided to make a choice and not include that part of direct hate to his people? At least they showed the ignorance he has towards his own people. I’m not excusing that as some manic episode to feel bad. he asked people in the room if they felt him the message he was saying and Candace Owens plus 10 other people raised their hands, and he continued his ignorance. Miss me with that seeing the grey area for this nigga man lmfao
