Again my question can easily be disproven by telling me other people in history who showcased what I’m saying

There’s really only one right answer

    Who

Ok it was more than just words

My point is that it was self inflicted

What do you think about that?

If you didn't say that glazed over downplaying lie then I wouldn't be in this thread and would change your premise from the start of basically that "he lost a lot over a little".

Yes, people have lost money and work in celebs and professional fields for being vile.

Billionaire status? None that I can think of, billionaires aren't as public and more importantly not as stupid as he was at the time.

Mj acted out against powerful people and they tried their hardest to silence him with lies and he was in debt when he died

Edit: not comparing MJ to Kanye because Kanye went about doing this in a very stupid hateful way and let himself turn into an alt right puppet

No it does actually, he didn't just have banks frozen he lost money in many other places literally due to those actions

Yeah bank freezing was the biggest

But he got cut from fashion pot for his Virgil obsession

He got cut from the black community pot for his black self hate comments and white lives matter

He got cut from friends that were in business for the homeless, abuse and disabled talks

He made no safe space or reprieve for himself, and anyone else going as hard as he did would also get the same treatment, just that most people as vile as he was aren't as stupid and then used him as useful idiot proxy for propaganda pushing

“ got cut from fashion pot “
    “ black pot “

My man ye still has plenty of black fans supporters and artist who love him . The idea that everyone hates him because of a vocal group online simply isn’t true . His monthly listeners sold out shows and merch still selling proves that

Did he lose some fans and gigs and opportunities yes

But he is still a major artist

While I’m not disagreeing with you I’d like to see something backing up that last point

Ye’s words were extremely, extremely awful and extremely, extremely damaging, but to say it directly led to increased crime seems a bit much

It was on twitter linked to the crime watch statistics and during the time Nazi rallies were being public in america that hard in a long time

I don't have it on hand from 3 years ago, but the rallies and figureheads literally being embolden by Kanye and using him as an icon and motivator and propaganda that caused a lot of the hate crime violence is a general easy correlation

  • I think the way I phrased my question made you guys think I was picking a side lol

Yeah that’s fair, I guess I feel like if Kanye was the tipping point in radicalizing someone or getting them to commit a hate crime, they were probably a ticking time bomb regardless, but that doesn’t excuse his actions whatsoever or lessen the negative impact

I had to add the edit before that was misconstrued but I just meant the core idea of getting mad at the wrong people and losing everything

Kanye just went about it in a way worse way
