Yeah agree with the use of “final form” being a bit off here.

  • i want to marry her

just a whole bunch of yap

  • feels like a valid assessment

well rounded (sings, writes, versatile producer), forward thinking (song length rhetoric, y2k-esque aesthetic that doesnt feel beholden to nostalgia) and she's still improving @ age 24

the statement about her defining 2020s pop is a prescient one, especially given her affinity for R&B-Rap-internet culture and how she filled the empty space of last year's big pop releases. i remember people finding her jarring cus she's not some amazing vocalist with generic production as well as the lack of credit she gets in the {white dominated} electronic space for reinvigorating the genre / making fun music that charts at her level. she def more intresting to me than a clairo or sabrina carpenter

atp i jus want to see her take further risk in her sound and do more frequent collabs with {underground / experimental} Black artists

    Seriously lmao

It’s cool if people wanna be cultural critics on Twitter or whatever but this obnoxious ass style of writing is the worst

That's one of the main reasons I liked To Hell with It so much; great music to play fighting games to which is one of my favorite things to do lol

People who type like this are the biggest pseudo intellectual idiots whos choose to write in the most condescending way to make themselves feel smarter.

  • 2015 music commentary posts: “Fuck man IYRTITL hard af… we’re gonna look back on Drake’s run as generational”

2026 music commentary posts: “It’s my longstanding theory that Sabrina Carpenter and other musicmaxxing pop girlies represent the Vibe Shift of the mid-2020s, both a firm rejection of millennial aesthetics while embracing a post-neoliberal soundscape dominated by an embrace of TikTok style mogging,”

To Hell With It and Brat are the 2 most important pop albums of this decade.

There’s a specific type of cultural commentary moron whose writing is basically just

    A. Forcing a “Decadeology” onto everything

    B. Confusing correlation with causation (as far as trends go)

    C. Boring observations about obvious stuff like “attention spans lower in internet age, music is shorter and has less shelf life” but written in fake profound way lol
