It would help to make the album into a moment in time. When Drake dropped IYRTITL, it wasn't just a mixtape, but a classic moment in time that changed his music style and Toronto as a whole.

Also am not going to be on here for the first listen because I already know the reaction gonna be half of people going "it's a classic" and the other half going "it's trash".

Man I have loved every Cole album but Idk what it was with KOD I fr think production was lackluster and like dude above said hooks were just not great. The killEDWARD features were not it neither. Love the message and concept but idk man it kinda boxed him in. He probably executed it how he wanted to but the execution only had such high of a ceiling.

He didn't go far enough with the concept. He should've done a 180 after the more slower 4YEO and then he ended up just doing a typical Cole album with like 1-2 tracks of heavier trap production.

Gonna give this an objective listen tomorrow. I thought KOD sucked but it was still better than his other albums.
