I’m not saying you wrong, but the only problem with this theory is I think Might Delete Later was supposed to be just a mixtape that spurred from It’s A Blur Tour hype and being around all those producers/artists before him and Drake did a collab for It’s A Boy (idk it’s just too convenient they were running around together HEAVY at the time, both have sons and even FPS he says they waiting to drop like a father to be) but then Like That dropped 4 days after the last Might Delete Later promo and everything changed

like Drake was putting out 100gigs of nostalgia footage and even talking about retirement then Cole conveniently does 12 hours of podcasts about his career?

I think there’s something major that was supposed to be aligned for both Drake and Cole and Dot f***ed it all up and now we here today salvaging what they could

Can we be real? It’s a boy is clearly not more music… bro was prob expecting a child and wanted to spend some quality family time before dropping his last album and going on a world tour. He doesn’t want to miss family time.

Maybe it was potentially some music at one point but turned into might delete later

We just chatting man, The Fall-Off in 2 weeks, no one actually knows anything about this s*** but using context can make some sense of s*** They both had sons around the same time, are brothers, were both moving on the same “I’m almost done with this energy” and talking about they sons more so…it’s a boy project celebrating they parallel careers and fatherhood before the retirement projects

Ngl a collab album of 2 rappers rapping about fatherhood sounds lame and none of their recent collabs point to that direction but it's possible it was a solo Cole album about fatherhood and his family and maybe instead of making a full album he incorporated it into The Fall Off and that's why it's a long ass album

Cole doesn't strike me as someone who just says s*** to say it, he already said he made peace with the fact that it's his last album and that's why he's been perfecting it for so long, that's why he also went crazy last few years on features and s***, personally I don't see him just rapping to rap until he's 60 on some Eminem s*** and also creatively I don't think he has a lot left to offer
