He said it put niggas to sleep. which ppl always been saying since the album dropped . IDK why ppl gotta overanalyze beef bars like u know its not that serious right
Really just a weak diss because a) TPAB is a classic Cole would never be capable of making and b) That's been a running meme about his own music for a decade plus
Kendrick isn't really that verbose in general when he interviews. He touched on his history with battle rap and keeping the essence of hip hop and sport alive. That's about as much as u could hope for
real Kendrick fans know he's prolly one of the worst interviewers ever for a superstar, especially considering his role model is Pac lol.
main takeaway from this, nadeska got kids?
she’s about to turn 40 so makes sense
he seems like a good dude, not built for war

feel like it’s a post DAMN era thing. nigga got media trained heavily. gotta remember he was sitting next to niggas like Kobe and s*** in interviews at the time and his entire demeanor changed after that era especially when talking to interviewers. prior to that he was always a good interview imo

nah his TPAB interviews was pretty surface level too or just plain wrong. He's one of those that doesn't really say much/is sneaky comedian that's why that interview with the cereal is one of his best.
The only interview he ever had where it was like "oh he saying some real s***" was that one where he said he wasn't voting lmao.

I disagree. I think people experience a type of cognitive dissonance because Kendrick is very "loud" in his music vs interviews. But as a more heavily introverted nigga I can relate to why that is. Music is his outlet and where he knows how to release his emotions and words the best. There's a whole process with that and a lot of it is internal first. It's completely different from something like public speaking, which is largely external. And that's why more extraverted niggas (like Pac) shine at it. So it's not a matter of being bad or "the worst", it's more of who he is as a person

damn black fr don’t crack, idk why I thought she was like early 30s

yea based on this Cole interview, she been around them dudes for a minute. said she’s known Cole since 2011. crazy to think in hindsight that Nadeska was the actual millennial voice on Everyday Struggle

yeaaaaaaah his interviews is just boring/mad sidesteppy bro.
That SZA x Kendrick Lamar magazine interview was mid lol.
nothing to do with introverted versus extroverted. It's fine. Vince technically is introverted too but also gives great interviews.
His wife was crying???????????

Introversion is a scale dawg. Vince is OPEN to being a clown in interviews. His ass be f***in yapping in general. Kendrick never was a yapper (even in old interviews) and is known to be a clown behind closed doors/with the homies but NOT to the general public. That is a byproduct of....introversion. Only time we saw a glimpse of that was moments when he was younger with the cereal s*** and when he "walked off" when ole girl said she never saw Martin. And (surprise, surprise) niggas tend to get even MORE introverted and reserved the older they get.
The interview with SZA and side stepping "breaking down" NLU is a whole separate thing. But it ain't really a reflection of "interview skills" lol
I had such a big problem with these interviews and now it magnified and snowballed to disgust
And the album lost a lot of luster

these interviews made him look even worse post the beef

his noisey one is dope
but yeah he has like one great interview out of every 4 or 5 average lmao - of stuff beyond music
his speeches at the charities n colleges the last few years have been cool, i think he does talking better in general when he can prep a bit instead of the usual in the moment interviewing
this cole talk tour made me grateful tho that drake n kendrick dont talk seriously indepth that often lol
I remember when. Nadeska was getting hate & i consoled her on ig & she replied with a very long sweet reply! She so nice
She’s not gonna see this one bro
